This is the REQUIRED Orientation session of our first part of the Salem SCUBA DEA Summer-2024 Divemaster Program. Our program is split into two parts. The first part includes tonight along with the next two weekends; the second part will be the sessions during which you will use the skills learned during the first part.
During this session, we will cover the following:
- The Salem SCUBA DEA PADI Divemaster Program
- Our Two-Part Schedule
- Divemaster Skills and Development
- Practical Applications
- Review of the PADI eLearning Platform
- Discussion of the PADI Instructor Manual
- Verify completion of Divemaster eLearning
- Verify completion of Dive Theory eLearning
- Confirmation that all prerequisites have been met
- Paperwork
- Staff Presentation of “The Roles and Characteristics of a PADI Divemaster
- Assessment of Personal SCUBA Equipment
- Salem SCUBA DEA shop policies and procedures
Candidates should arrive on time or a few minutes early with the following:
- All non-PADI/non-EFR SCUBA and CPR / First Aid Certification documentation
- All SCUBA Equipment
- Diver Medical SIGNED AND APPROVED BY AN AUTHORIZED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL dated by all parties in proper date format (DD/MMM/YYYY, e.g. 04JUL1776) within the past twelve months -preferably recent
- Digital or Paper Dive Log
- Government Issued Identification
- Resources for taking notes: Paper/Pencil/Pen/Laptop/
