I grew up in So. Cal. body surfing and snorkeling. I got my open water certification through Naui in 1979. After only making a few dives, I relocated to the Salem Keizer area and raised my family. Diving was put on the back burner until 2017, when my wife and I took a snuba/snorkeling trip to Maui. When we got back, she got her open water certification through Padi and I began my Padi training with a refresher course, through Salem Scuba, of course.
I retired the beginning of 2018, after 33 years of delivering bread for Oroweat Baking Co. Since then, I have been taking Padi classes and diving every chance that I get. Diving is my passion. I am a volunteer diver at the Newport Oregon Coast Aquarium. I have also had the pleasure to dive with Salem Scuba DEA in the Puget Sound, Cozumel, Florida, The Bahama’s, Grand Cayman, and St. Lucia. I’m really just getting started and I look forward to sharing this experience with many divers, both new and old.
