| I’d planned to dive since I was a kid…big Jacques Cousteau fan you know. Finally, my motivator, dive buddy, and now husband convinced me to stop putting it off and in I went.
Every dive is memorable but the dive that hooked me was the second dive of my open water class. I had world class conditions at the Hood Canal and time to be still at the bottom, view the undersea garden, and meet the residents. Those minutes confirmed me as a lifetime diver. Anything that awesome has to be shared so entering the instructing levels (DM) was inevitable.

| Mike has been diving with us for a few years. He is originally from Pennsylvania, transplanted via Germany (courtesy of the Army) to Corvallis, Oregon. If he isn't diving, he is often snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or kayaking. Mike likes to cook and if you treat him nice, he will make desserts for the dive weekends! His day job to support all of his hobbies is that of a Disaster Trainer/Planner for the Samaritan Health Hospital system, centered in Corvallis.

| Charles R. Jones (Rick) is from Silverton, Oregon. He Became a PADI DM in 2006 and have
exclusively worked with the crew at Salem Scuba since then. I am currently
working toward a Asst. Instructor cert. with Barry Hooe. I enjoy DM'ing very
much and wish I had even more time to devote to it. When I'm not messing around
with my garage full of motorcycles, you'll find me at work driving truck. I
live in South Salem not more than 4 minutes from the shop.

| Glenda has always loved the water and the ocean.
Glenda became certified in 1997 after a camping trip to Catalina Island where she snorkled for the first time. She was
excited and frustrated. She loved what she was able to see, but frustrated she
couldn't get closer to them. Glenda loves diving anywhere, especially the North West and loves to share her experience with others

| One of the main reasons I learned to dive is my
fascination with the underwater world, I have always been interested in marine
life and the Ocean since I was young. With my love of being around water I
decided to learn to dive, so in 2005 I became an open water diver and have
loved it ever since. I started taking all my specialties classes and became a
Master Diver in December 2008, I finally became a Dive Master in January 2010. The
reason I became a Dive Master is that I wanted to share the experiences I have
had to help people that aspired to be a scuba diver themselves. I enjoy helping
new divers, the expressions new divers have when they reach the surface after a
great dive is priceless. If I can help just one person really enjoy diving that
day then I’m happy for that day.

| Daniel has been around water practically his
whole life as a competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and triathlete. But it wasn't
until January 2009 that he took the plunge to get his Open Water certification.
Making up for lost time, he became a Divemaster by November 2009 and had almost
100 dives in his first year. He has dove in Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico. He loves both the warmwater and coldwater diving and
identifying new fish and invertebrates. And he wants to share his love and
enthusiasm for diving with new divers.

experience and has been an active member of the Oregon Coast Aquarium dive team
for the last 7 years. He earned his PADI Divemaster rating in 2003 and has
additional training as an IANTD certified trimix (technical) diver, SDI Solo
diver and TDI Nitrox gas blender. If you see Scott running his 15.5' zodiac
along the Newport coastline he's likely doing underwater photography or
spearfishing
