Thank
you for your interest in our Beginning Open Water (O/W) Scuba course. Our
classes are the finest and highest quality anywhere! And has been for decades!
Salem Scuba
has been by far, the area’s biggest/ premier scuba, travel and underwater
education center for 29 years.
And our certification agency, PADI, is the
world’s largest. They recently told us we are the # 2 dive store in Oregon.
And we all have our great customers to thank for
that!!
Our goal is to show you a whole new world
underwater, with the greatest safety, fun, & enjoyment!

Cost: $250 per person (We have not raised our prices
the last 8+ years!)
($395 per person for our private executive class)
$190 per person for our Referral O/W course – In
this program you complete the academic & pool portions of your class here,
then travel to typically a tropical location of your choice for your 4
qualifying dives. We can even arrange
your trip for you! This is a great (and
less rushed) program that is a FAR better choice then taking up a lot of your
valuable vacation time getting certified.
And $295.00 for PADI Jr. O/W Course (ages 12-14)
(fees are higher due to many increased costs).
Includes: All professional instruction, use of all
necessary gear for the entire course (except mask, snorkel, fins & boots),
PADI certification - processing & certification card and SO much more!!

PADI class materials: Multimedia Crew Pak: This includes the book, log book,
student file & the new diving with a computer manual $69.00.
The cost of lodging, beach fees, & 2 air fills
for the open water dive weekend are not included. Cost averages $90-110 for the weekend. Your
staff will explain this all to you as well.
When & Where!:
The Tue. orientation and all other class nights start at 6:30PM (except the 1
Sat. pool is at 7:30AM at Stayton Pool). After orientation is a 1 week break to
get reading done, medicals signed if needed, etc. Then the 2 class sessions on
Tue. & Thur. Then the Sat. pool! The next Tue. is class & then the last
class & pool the next Thur. (The 2
pool sessions are important to make!)
Additional
Classes: Salem Scuba also offers
morning classes – often in conjunction
with Chemeketa Community College. These begin in
January, April, June, & September. You do not need to be enrolled at CCC to
take these classes (and get the college credit). We also offer all day Saturday
classes, private & semi-private lessons & more…please ask!
Our class prices have always been simple & up
front. We don’t play complex games with deceptive discounts etc. that in the
end, are not in fact discounts.

how busy your schedules can be. If the

Just a $50 deposit will hold your spot in any of our classes. Classes
usually fill quickly. You may also mail in your payment. All major credit cards
are accepted. We also take gold coins J.
Diving
Equipment:
Everything you need for your entire class will be provided, except mask, snorkel, fins & boots. The mask is
your window to the underwater world…it’s the most important piece of gear for
scuba & snorkeling!! We have the top 3 on the market. We will have a
professional fit all your personal gear. We 100% guarantee you will be happy in
all your gear or we will exchange it until you are! This is a rare & unique
policy. The price and quality of gear by Salem Scuba in unmatched!
There are also health & sanitation issues with
the mask & snorkel. All of these
& more are included in our "Student Package" of the
highest quality gear at greatly reduced prices for our students!
